We maintain the highest level of commitment to the environment and each of our craftsmen is comprehensively trained in the care and preservation of trees. Due to the large amount of unsustainably harvested timber that arrives in the United Kingdom each year, we are very particular about where we source our materials. We are dedicated to conserving the landscape and cultural heritage of our woodlands and wherever possible, our wood is sustainably sourced from managed forests where replanting strategies are in operation and is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). We only use materials that do not harm the health of the host tree. All our timber treatment processes are environmentally friendly and conform to the recent changes made by the European Union. Each year in the UK, 0.5 million tonnes of timber is dumped in landfill sites. We therefore uphold a pledge to recycle any surplus materials upon completion of a project.
