Blue Forest in partnership with Jessops Construction have been awarded the contract for the development of three luxurious sustainable tree houses for Center Parcs Sherwood Forest.

Each 170m2 tree house has been designed to the highest standards and will achieve an A Grade Energy Performance Certificate. The buildings feature a number of sustainable solutions, including, lake-source heat pumps, low-energy lighting and grey water recycling.

The tree house exteriors will have a simple, rustic feel to blend in with their woodland surroundings. The interiors are by no means rustic with, four double bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, open plan living spaces, a kitchen and even a separate tree house entertainment pod. The entertainment pods will be reached via a dramatic canopy-level walkway and come complete with a home cinema system, pool table and bar. To top it all off the main tree houses will also feature a hot tub, sauna, out-door dining area for guests and a number of exterior decks and balconies providing fantastic views of the forest. The project is currently under construction and will be completed towards the end of 2010.
