Cliffside Lodge

This luxury tree house is set in a truly magical private garden surrounding a charming thatched house dating back to 1886. The house is built into the steep northern side of a large gorge and features a wide veranda overlooking the gardens and the wooded valley beyond. It is surrounded by five pools at different levels, linked by water cascading gently down from one level to the next. The second pool was built specifically as a swimming pool, graded between 'deep' at one end, and 'shallow' at the other, and has a grotto boat house at the deep end, with a grass-covered patio above for sun-bathing and diving. The tree house has been designed to reflect the setting and character of this exquisite house and garden. Access is via a dramatic rope bridge leading from the second floor veranda of the property to the main deck. The tree house also features beautiful hand made windows and doors, a traditional water-reed thatch roof and beautiful hand split oak shingle and cedar exterior. Internally, the tree house is fully lined with western red cedar and features low profile recessed halogen lighting. Project Gallery
