Little Acorn Treehouse

  • Tree House – Hideaway & Retreat

    Location: Sussex

    Form Of Contract: Individual Terms

Nestled among the boughs of an impressive oak tree, the Little Acorn Treehouse is an intimate yet spacious hideaway, ideal for parties and play.

Adjacent to the family home, this treehouse retreat contains a modern kitchenette in an airy, bright, open plan room. Whether for family gatherings, parties or for kids to play in, the Little Acorn Tree House is a fantastically unique space.

  • A broad exterior decking and curved design that creates cohesion with the natural surroundings

The curved design of the Little Acorn Tree House echoes the shapes of the surrounding trunks and branches, creating a cosy, private space in the open air. The roomy interior and spacious decking is a one-of-a-kind feature and a place for star gazing or enjoying the great outdoors.

The combination of wood panelling, used on the upper side of the exterior walls, mixed with shingles for the lower section of the walls, gives the building a sense of scale.

The natural tones of the wooden cladding and shingles mimics the earth, tree trunks and leaves of the host oak tree.

A variety of timber finishes are incorporated in modern ways to create an airy, open room

The interior of this tree house uses a combination of beautiful oak flooring and premium grade cedar lining to give character to the open plan treehouse space. The tone of the different materials suggests warmth and comfort, and even add a lovely woody smell.

Within the structure are 10 hand crafted, rectangular oak windows in an array of sizes. These provide plenty of light and create an airy, luxurious and spacious atmosphere. The edges of the room around the ceiling slats and walls are beautifully finished with Polyhemp rope trim.

The Little Acorn Treehouse is fully equipped for weekend and evening entertainment

Built primarily with the teenagers of the family and their friends in mind, the treehouse boasts features such as a bespoke home cinema and surround sound system. The state of the art audio-visual system is linked, via data cable, to the main house and a digital library for hours of entertainment. Equipped further with comfortable seating, this is the perfect space for kicking back and watching films and playing video games.

Beyond the technology hub is a contemporary kitchenette and bar. A drinks fridge and two wine coolers mean that party hosts won’t run out of refreshments for their guests, along with plenty of surface space and a sink for clearing up.

On a practical note, the building includes a bathroom with toilet to provide somewhere to freshen up during sleepovers and gatherings. For peace of mind, the treehouse is equipped with an intercom system so that parents can keep in touch.
