The Eagle’s Perch Treehouse
A private adventure world
The owners of a Northumberland estate wanted to create a unique family retreat within their private woodland — a place where children, parents, and friends could play, explore, and relax together. Building upon an existing treehouse and zip slides, the vision was to develop three interconnected activity zones, each designed to bring the woodland to life in imaginative and adventurous ways.
The Three Adventure Zones include a woodland assault course, offering a challenging trail of rope climbs, beams, and woodland obstacles weaves through the forest, providing endless outdoor fun for both children and adults.
A purpose-designed Private Airsoft Course transforms the woods into a thrilling adventure ground. The treehouse’s hidden command centre serves as the family’s mission base, fully equipped with airsoft kit for tactical play and friendly competitions.
Lastly, a Treetop Net Hangout & Cinema, suspended high in the canopy, includes a giant multi-level tree net offers space to climb, bounce, and unwind. By night, it becomes a magical family cinema in the trees, where everyone can gather under the stars.

The original treehouse was expanded into a network of tree decks and rope bridges, providing both adventure and cosy retreats. At its core are the secret command centre for airsoft games, a firepit and outdoor deck for evenings together, as well as a myriad of rope bridges and elevated walkways that give a sense of exploration and discovery.
The finished project is a private adventure world hidden within the family’s own woodland. It offers a blend of action, creativity, and togetherness: a place to test skills, spark imaginations, and relax in nature. Whether storming the command centre, racing across the assault course, or curling up in the treetop cinema, the treehouse has become a much-loved heart of family life.
