Tree House Kitchen

  • Tree house: Hideaway and retreat

    Location: Surrey

    Form of contract: Individual Terms

The Tree House Kitchen is not a traditional children’s play area. This is a luxury treehouse retreat built strictly for use by adults. But the children aren’t entirely forgotten. Blue Forest have incorporated a special platform off the main structure with zip wire and some adventurous rope bridges for them to play on, creating the perfect combination for young and old alike.

  • This treehouse doubles as a working kitchen for the client’s gourmet catering business

Located in Surrey, England, we designed The Tree House Kitchen for use as a functioning venue for the client’s gourmet meals company, The Pure Package, as well as a private retreat. The kitchen space that forms the main area of the tree house has an open layout with room to serve, as well as create delicious dishes.

The Pure Package freshly prepares meals for their direct-to-door service. Clients of which include X-Men actor Hugh Jackman, pop singer Florence Welch and designer Julien MacDonald.

When not being used for the client’s business needs, this treehouse kitchen is used to host cookery lessons to raise money for the Prince’s Trust. Those sitting around the modern wood dining table, with its matching chairs and bench seating, are able to look out through the charming double doors at the rustic, inviting exterior seating area.

While the kitchen is the focal point, there is space to relax too

The kitchenette area of this unique tree house includes a white counter area with hobs, a separate sink unit, dining area and additional shower room discreetly hidden away. There are additional plugs hidden under the counter area keeping the kitchen neat and tidy.

Beyond the featured kitchen and dining area, guests are offered a more relaxed space on the outside decking. Guests can choose to recline in a soft armchair beneath the trees or, on cooler evenings, warm themselves by the large fire pit.

The Kitchen Treehouse is a practical, comfortable and sophisticated retreat

With no telephones or television this tree house hideaway is the ideal escape from modern life with views of lush greenery all around. The Kitchen treehouse is a sophisticated and comfortable retreat for a unique dining experience or somewhere to while away a summer evening.

“We simply cannot praise the Blue Forest team enough, they were always working hard with an obvious attention to detail and passion for what they do. The team were very professional and incredibly friendly so much so we even had a member of the team house sit for us for a few days! I could not recommend them highly enough.”

“We are thrilled with our new tree house, all our guests have commented how they have never seen anything like it and the adults love it as much as the kids. The design and finish has surpassed our expectations and it is everything we wanted it to be – it is incredibly unique. We can’t wait to use it for parties, fun garden days and even relaxing with a book.”
